Here at Lantern Cove Productions, we believe stories matter. They can make us laugh, move us, bring families together, and remind us that even in the darkest moments, there is always hope.
That’s why we’re committed to creating quality faith and family entertainment that honors God. We call it Entertainment with a Greater Purpose.
For us, this is more than making movies and television shows. It’s ministry.
Why do we call it ministry? Because Jesus gave us a clear command in Mark 16:15:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
At Lantern Cove, we’ve chosen to follow that command in the way we know best—through storytelling. And we do it with joy because we know that our Redeemer lives!
The stories we tell won’t always shy away from the difficult parts of life. Sometimes we need to see the darkness to understand the beauty of the light. Many of us know what it feels like to walk through our own version of “hell” here on earth. We’ve experienced hurt, loss, disappointment, and brokenness.
But we also know that our story doesn’t have to end there.
There is hope. There is redemption. There is Jesus.
And that is the heart of Lantern Cove.
We want to create stories for believers and families, but also for the person who may be hurting, searching, or wondering if there is something more. Our hope is that wherever our stories take you, you’ll find something that encourages you, reminds you that you’re not alone, and ultimately points you toward Jesus Christ.
It is truly our honor to share these stories with audiences online, on television, and in movie theaters around the world.

According To Jim: The Learning Curve (Family Comedy)
Julie Bergh has been telling stories for as long as she can remember. At five years old, she was already writing stage plays, casting her little brother in every production (with of course, the occasional bribe) and "inviting" her family to attend the latest performance in the family basement—usually at the required curtain time of 6:30 p.m.
Over the years, she’s written, produced and performed in several live stage productions as well as produced and written an independent feature film, a documentary and a live family night improvisation in her local community.
Today, she writes for television, film, and digital platforms, creating stories that celebrate faith, family, and second chances. Her screenplays have received recognition from WorldFest Houston, the Austin Film Festival, TVWriter.com, and Final Draft. Most recently, she was honored with a 2026 nomination from the Content Christian Media Conference for Television Pilots - Half Hour.
For Julie, every story is an opportunity to offer hope and quality entertainment, to a world that needs both.

Every single day, I’m thankful for the blessing of being able to hope, dream and put down on paper what’s rumbling around in my heart and mind.
I will say, awards don’t make us who we are. God does that. And quite honestly, there’s a lot of refining that he does in each of us to bring us to the point of hearing the words, ‘Well done.’ And no award or accolade could ever surpass hearing that! Everything else is just fun sparkle.
It’s with a humble heart that I list here a few of the things that have been a part of my creative journey, my development, and my school of hard knocks as a person, a writer and a producer.

The Last Box Before Christmas
Stranded by a brutal storm, a charity coordinator, reporter, and soldiers join a home-for-Christmas pilot on a daring overnight mission to deliver gifts—and save Christmas.
Based on an incredible true story where grace, grit and the true spirit of Christmas miraculously shine through.
After weeks of rescuing stranded travelers from Alaska’s unforgiving winter, a weary bush pilot finally makes it home with one plan for Christmas: hunker down, ride out the approaching storm, and enjoy some much-needed peace with his faithful dog.
Then he learns that the plane scheduled to deliver Christmas gifts to a remote Alaskan village has been stranded elsewhere—and the gifts, along with a determined charity coordinator who refuses to give up on the families waiting for them, aren't going anywhere. With conditions deteriorating and few options left, she turns to the reluctant pilot and his plane for help.
He knows exactly how dangerous the flight could be. He also knows what it means if no one goes.
Reluctantly, he agrees to one last mission. With his plane loaded to the gills with Christmas and a brutal winter storm closing in, the flight quickly becomes far more dangerous than either anticipated. When an emergency in the cockpit leaves the charity coordinator helping to control an aircraft she was never meant to fly, delivering Christmas becomes secondary to simply surviving the journey.

Something New Is Coming… and It Starts This Month!
Okay, friends, I have been waiting to share this with you, because this is going to be FUN.
Beginning September 21–25 at the Content Christian Media Conference at Capernaum Studios, I’m taking you with me into the wonderful world of faith-based and family-friendly entertainment.
And I mean really taking you with me.
We’re going behind the scenes to meet the producers, filmmakers, actors, actresses, writers, podcasters and creators who are making the Christian films, television shows, streaming programs and other content we’re watching—and some you probably haven’t even heard about yet.
I want to know the things we would want to know.
What happened behind the scenes? How did this movie ever get made? Why did an actor choose a particular role? What happened on set that made everybody laugh—or cry? Where did the story come from? And how does faith play a part when the cameras are rolling…and when they aren’t?
We’ll have interviews, clips, sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes goodies, new projects, winners, nominees and plenty of news straight from the conference.
And what better place to begin than Capernaum Studios?
I’ve always believed there are a lot of us looking for really good entertainment that we can enjoy without wondering halfway through, Well, why did they have to put THAT in there?

Maybe It Really Is a Blessing in Disguise
I wrote recently about what happens when we pray, hope, plan—and the answer we get isn’t the one we wanted.
And I think that’s why Blessings in Disguise hit me the way it did.
Because haven’t we all been there?
The door we were certain was supposed to open…didn’t. The plan we carefully put together fell apart. Something ended when we weren’t ready for it to end.
And somewhere in the middle of all that disappointment, we’re left wondering, God, what are You doing?
Sometimes we don’t get that answer right away.
And sometimes, what looks like a detour turns out to be the road that was meant for us all along.
That’s the sweet spot of Blessings in Disguise.
Katie is a New York fashion designer chasing a career-changing opportunity when she finds herself back home, reopening the doors of her late grandmother’s seamstress shop, Charlotte’s Thread. There, she discovers something beautiful: her grandmother had carefully chosen Scriptures and stitched them inside every garment she made.
Oh, how I love that.
Because suddenly this isn’t just a story about fashion. It’s about legacy. Home. First loves. Family. Faith. And all those little threads God may be weaving together while we’re busy wondering why our own plans aren’t working.
Katie’s reconnection with Luke—and with the life and values she left behind—reminds us that maybe the thing we’re chasing isn’t always where the blessing is waiting.
And maybe I’m not the only one who needs that reminder.
I have a feeling some of you do, too.
Blessings in Disguise brings all of that together in one sweet, faith-and-family-friendly movie. It’s real. It’s hopeful. And for those of us who’ve watched life turn out differently than we imagined, it hits pretty close to home.
Because sometimes God’s “different” turns out to be better than our “perfect.”
And sometimes the blessing really does come in disguise.

Sometimes, The BETTER Story Is Just Getting Started
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23
It’s pretty easy to love this verse when things are going your way. You get picked, the opportunity comes through, the hard work gets noticed and the bonus hits the bank account.
But what about when it doesn’t?
You worked hard. You prayed. You prepared. Maybe you were convinced, This is it. This is the door God is opening. Then someone else gets the job, the award, the promotion or the recognition.
That stings. Faith doesn’t require pretending otherwise.
Maybe the celebration dinner you had planned turns into a pizza pity party on the couch. Maybe the new outfit stays on the rack because the bonus didn’t come through. Disappointment is real.
But Colossians 3:23 asks a bigger question: Who was all that work really for?
If it was for the Lord, then someone else’s decision doesn’t determine whether it mattered. The applause of people doesn’t make the work more valuable, and the lack of it doesn’t make it less valuable.
Then comes the really hard part: celebrating the person who got what you wanted.
Not the forced congratulations through clenched teeth. Really celebrating them. Shake their hand. Send the text. Give the hug. Tell them they deserved it—and mean it. Their win doesn’t mean God somehow forgot your address.
That kind of response changes something in us. It reminds us that another person’s blessing isn’t our loss and that God’s goodness isn’t limited to one promotion, one paycheck or one opportunity.
Because sometimes what God has in store is far better than the thing that seemed so important in the moment. Better than the title, the accolades, the big paycheck or the temporary high of being noticed.
Maybe the closed door isn’t God withholding something. Maybe it’s God redirecting something.
So work hard. Celebrate others without reservation. Give God the glory when the answer is yes and trust Him when it’s no.
And order the pizza anyway.
Sometimes the better story is just getting started.

We all have our thing. You know...that one little thing that makes us smile after a long day. Mine? I love to plop down on the sofa, curl up with a warm mug of hot cocoa, and watch something that doesn't make me feel the need to repent afterward.
You know exactly what I mean.
Sometimes the world feels heavy enough. I don't always want another reminder of it. Sometimes I just want a story that lets me exhale. One that's thoughtful. Kind. Hopeful. The kind of movie that reminds me there really is still good in the world.
And if you happen to wrap that story in Christmas? Well...that's just icing on the gingerbread.
Recently, I had the opportunity to join an advance screening and live chat hosted by Great American Media CEO Bill Abbott, along with stars Jillian Murray and Brett Varvel, for the upcoming Christmas romance The Trouble with Christmas Mistletoe.
What surprised me wasn't the romance—although it's wonderful. It was the emotional maturity. This isn't a movie built on silly misunderstandings or exaggerated conflict. Instead, it asks a simple question: what happens when two good people carry the weight of past mistakes? That's where this story shines.
You'll find thoughtfulness. Kindness. Understanding. And perhaps most importantly...second chances.
The journey they take to get there is both believable and deeply satisfying.
Ready to watch?
You can always see what's currently airing on Great American Media and Great American Family by checking their schedule. Then grab your favorite blanket, pour another cup of cocoa, and enjoy The Trouble with Christmas Mistletoe. I have a feeling you'll be smiling long after the credits roll.
I would be remiss if I didn’t say this: the acting was phenomenal throughout…and the folks behind the scenes have certainly brought their ‘A Game’ to the productions. Oh and if you’re wondering, this screenplay was written by an amazing writer, appropriately named: Jennifer Snow. I know, I thought that was pretty cute too!!! Keep an eye out for all of the amazing Christmas programming the Great American Media family has in store this year. The inside track is that they’ve got a whole bunch of warm and cozy movies in store for their audience. You aren’t going to want to miss them!

Quirky can be a wonderful thing.
I'll admit it—I went into this movie expecting one of those low-budget films that just never quite finds its footing. I couldn't have been more wrong. Give it a few minutes, and you'll find yourself completely charmed by the sweet awkwardness of two people discovering love in the most unexpected way.
I won't give away the story because it's one that's best experienced for yourself. I do hope Great American Media (and maybe a few other networks) bring it back again this Christmas season. There is one moment I personally would have handled differently, but it's certainly not enough to overshadow the heart of the film.
What stayed with me was how refreshingly different it felt. It's gentle, heartfelt, and just quirky enough to make it memorable.
The story is carried beautifully by Madeleine Coghlan as Alice Kerwin, Lior Selve as Oliver Kolby, and the ever-delightful Federico Dordei as Lorenzo, the manor's wonderfully unforgettable butler.
Here's my question for you: If you made someone a promise, would you travel alone to a completely different country at Christmastime to keep it?
